Norma Anders Public Library 2024 Summer Reading Challenges

Two Options: Use one option, both options or some of both. Just have fun reading!

Option 1: Reading Logs Track Minutes Read in June & July

Preschool through High School

Read 120 minutes to complete your card. Read books, newspapers, magazines, or graphic novels. Read together or on your own, just have fun reading! Turn in completed cards to earn instant rewards and to be entered into the monthly drawing for Barnes & Nobel gift certificates.

Option 2: Monthly Theme Challenge June, July & August

Preschool through Adult Read a book that fits the monthly theme, then enter our monthly drawing for local business gift certificates. Need ideas? Check the displays or ask staff.

Themes: June: Animals/July: Summer/August: Nature & Outdoors

Read Books, Spark Change Bingo

We're celebrating Children's Book Week with a fun reading challenge. This year's Children's Book Week theme speaks to the power that books and stories have to inspire positive change. Books can spark change within an individual reader, a family, a classroom, or a whole community. To participate in this reading challenge, find a bingo card at the library or using this link: Read Books, Spark Change Bingo. Read books to complete a bingo. Bring your completed card into the library and win a free book and prize. The reading challenge will run through the month of November 2023. Completed cards must be turned in by November 30 to receive a prize.

 

Reading Through Time, A Sesquicentennial Reading Challenge for Adults

We're celebrating Dysart’s 150 years with a year-long reading challenge. Read any ten books set in ten different decades from the 1870's to today. Win a small prize for completing the challenge and be entered into a drawing for a larger prize at the end of the year. Completed forms may be turned in throughout the year. 2023 Evening Book Club for Adults Monthly Themes

Read a book that fits the monthly theme in this "just-for-fun" reading challenge. Join us for our monthly discussion and tell us about what you read, or read on your own for fun. The Evening Book Club meets either the 3rd or 4th Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Contact the library for more information.
