For Families

Build, read, create and play in the children's area of the library.

We want everyone to feel welcome in our library, especially families! Our library offers several options for library visits. We have a train table and vehicle mat with cars, building sets, and a rotating selection of Melissa and Doug food playsets. You can put on a play with our puppet center, build and create in the MakerSpace or curl up with a good book on our comfy bench with the bears. Our weekly themed programs are come-and-go allowing you to have fun when it fits your schedule.

Children's Books

We're excited to offer recently updated children's selections in the nonfiction, picture books, board books, chapter books and graphic novels. If we don't have what you're looking for, please ask. We often order books for our library by patron request, or we can try to get something through our free interlibrary loan program.

Special Programs

Join us for special programs throughout the year such as our annual Halloween party in October, special programs in summer, and come-and-go program throughout the year.

Summer Library Programs

We love summer fun at our library! Children aged preschool through high school can participate in our summer reading challenges and earn free books, treasure chest prizes and treat coupons. Each completed reading log also earns participants and entry into a drawing for book store gift cards. Prevent summer slide and stay in the reading groove all summer long!

Summer enrichment programs educate and entertain! Learn about animals, science, and nature! Find us July 3 at the city park with the hands-on bubble station program as part of the July 4th celebration.

Board Games, Puzzles and Craft Tools
